  • Great for annual allergies

  • Blood Sugar Supplement Berberine

    These are small easy to swallow capsules. I have read that Berberine helps stabilize blood sugar. Since mine tends to get higher than it should after eating I was happy to try it.I took two capsules at my afternoon meal but so far I have not noticed a difference. My blood sugar tests the same as it usually does. I do feel this looks like a nice quality supplement so I will have to give it time.

  • Upgraded berberine?

    Berberine has relatively low bioavailability, so it might be smart to get a formulation that offers enhanced bioavailability, i.e: one with silymarin, MCT oil, or in this case - broccoli seed powder. But I'm not fully convinced that it's necessary. Here is why:1) Multiple clinical trials have shown health benefits with berberine, without any kind of special "highly bioavailable formulation"2) I haven't seen any real scientific proof that the broccoli seed extract in this product increases bioavailability of berberine. They are claiming it - but there is no research proving it.3) No mention of the sulforaphane content in this particular product.Thoughts:It's a good quality supplement, but needs more research before I would really recommend this over a standard berberine supplement. Many clinical trials have shown great results with 1000mg per day of standard berberine - so I don't really think a "special" formulation is necessary until there is more proof indicating that it's actually better.
